Cast Basalt
Is a neovolcanic eruptive rock which melts at approximately 1250°C, and can be cast in a similar way to cast iron. After a carefully controlled annealing process the resultant cast material, whilst retaining the typical qualities has the following notable characteristics: Extraordinary abrasion resistance and acid and alkali resistance.
High Alumina Ceramics
Are pressed, extruded or injection moulded, then fired to produce a product extremely resistant to impact and abrasion.
Silicon Carbide
Is abrasion and corrosion resistant, has high thermal conductivity and superior thermal shock resistance. Complex shapes, including threads, can be formed.
Greenpatch
Was developed to assist the engineer to combat and cut maintenance costs. It is a specially formulated epoxy resin with ceramic filler.
Adhesives:
-HM301 is a high grade thixotropic polyester resin cement which has been used successfully for many years.
-Megapoxy PM is a two part quality epoxy particularly suitable where extra adhesive strength is required.
Other Materials
The above materials are only some of those used and not a comprehensive list - others are incorporated for specific duties.
New materials become available from time to time and the company constantly seeks improved products. |
