Aerotech Bonding

Greenbank Terotech being Australia’s largest supplier of ceramic lined piping and equipment is now proud to be able to offer a revolutionary development for the bonding of ceramics.

The AeroTech ceramic bonding process produces components with the wear resistance of ceramic and the impact resistance of steel. It has proven itself in applications such as high-speed dynamic Fan blades in the dust extraction and cement industries. AeroTech allows the ceramic lined item to flex and bend without compromising the integrity of the bond. When alumina ceramic lining is used the weight of the equipment can be reduced as our exclusive process enables us to reduce the thickness of the steel and replace a portion of the thickness with the ceramic, which is 50% lighter. Aerotech Lined Pipe

AeroTech provides a major break through in the lining of “Chutes” subject to continuous pounding and vibration. AeroTech eliminates delaminating of the ceramic from the steel backing material. Normal epoxy adhesives provide reasonable adherence of the ceramic but do not provide full transfer of support from the substrate material. In both high vibration and dynamic application the standard epoxy bond is unable to maintain adherence. As a result the ceramic cracks, dislodges and fails prematurely. AeroTech over comes this problem and allows the full thickness of the ceramic liner to be utilised, increasing operating life and providing a more predictable maintenance life cycle.

Combined with Greenbank Terotech engineering and design service, AeroTech provides a major improvement in equipment operating life and reducing maintenance cost - Increased effective impact resistance of hard wear resistant ceramics

- Unparalleled performance in dynamic applications
- Tested high sheer strength
- Proven performance in light weight designs
- Economical repair of worn components

AeroTech Bonding allows design engineers greater freedom to extend the use of advanced wear resistant materials. In weight sensitive applications, AeroTech can be combined with thin ceramic tiles to replace common metals. This can actually reduce a component’s weight while improving performance. In many instances, where impact is a concern, AeroTech’s shock-absorbing bonding layer allows hard wear materials to be used in extreme stress environments not suitable for traditional installation methods.

Ceramic Lined Auger Advanced Ceramics:- We have access to some of the world’s most sophisticated ceramic materials. Alumina is used for general applications while silicon and tungsten carbides can be applied in the more aggressive environments.
