Dense Medium Cyclones

The dense medium cyclone process is an extremely fast and efficient way
of separating materials of differing densities.

The move towards larger cyclones as a means of reducing process inefficiencies and minimising down stream equipment infrastructure has resulted in direct cost savings to maintenance personnel.

The Greenbank experience in the design and manufacture of abrasion resistant systems combined with the multinational mineral processing knowledge of Halley & Mellowes provides the mining industry with accurate advice on all aspects of dense medium application including material analysis, cyclone selection, commissioning and on going support.

Operating influences on Dense Medium Cyclone Selection:
- Cyclone diameter
- Feed particle sizing
- Medium/Solids Rotio
- Separation Density
- Volumetric Capacity
- Feed Pressure
- Inlet velocity
- Retention time

Dense Medium Cyclones

Our in-house design, manufacture and process engineering ensures you are provided with the highest quality of equipment and service.

Material selection is based on a combination of ore type and process parameters. It is critical when purchasing a Dense Medium Cyclone, that it not only provides the capacity and performance you require but is capable of maintaining these requirements for the long term.

Greenbank can supply all cyclone components in a range of abrasion resistant materials.
- High Density Alumina
- Eucor Zirconia
- NiHard
- 27% Chrome
- Silicon Carbides
