GT Blome 2 is a two component, sodium silicate based mortar used for installing chemical and abrasion resistant brick and tile linings. GT Blome 2 offers excellent bond strength to dense alumina ceramic and cast basalt wear resistant tiles.

Note: GT Blome 2 is not recommended for use in neutral water or alkali service. Consult Greenbank Terotech Pty. Ltd. for specific recommendations on other chemical resistant mortars.

Corrosion resistant - GT Blome 2 has good resistance to dilute acids and solvent.

Temperature resistant - GT Blome 2 is suitable for service at temperatures up to 1000°C.

Easy to use - GT Blome 2 is highly thixotropic and exhibits excellent trowelability for butteringbrick or tile.

Chemical settings - GT Blome 2 cures by internal chemical set and will cure completely as a bed joint for dense, non-porous brick and tile linings.

Special low temperature cure grade available - GT Blome 2-7 Powder is available for use in temperatures as low as 20°C. GT Blome 2-7 Powder when mixed with GT Blome 2 liquid exhibits the same
properties as GT Blome 2 .

These curing rates are accurate at 21°C; lower temperatures will retard the cure and higher temperatures will accelerate it. It is recommended that brick and tile linings installed by GT Blome 2 as the bonding mortar be allowed to cure for a minimum of three (3) days at 21°C before being put into service. Following these curing procedures, it is recommended that all lined fabrications be protected from water and weather as GT Blome 2 has limited water and moisture resistance.
